Phnom Tamao Zoological Park, Protected Forest and Arboretum serves as an important educational and research hub for students and researchers interested in wildlife and forest conservation. It has provided valuable opportunities for students, particularly from the Faculty of Forestry at the Royal University of Agriculture, to conduct field research and write their final theses. In addition, students from both private and public schools regularly visit the zoo to learn about wildlife and conservation efforts. From 2013 to 2018, Phnom Tamao Zoo educated approximately 47,228 students, fostering awareness and knowledge about biodiversity and environmental protection.
