Wellington is a male moon bear cub born on 1 December 2023 (estimation). He was rescued from the forest in Aural National Park, Kampong Speu Province, after villagers found him caught in a snare wire. The villagers cut the snare wire and rescued the cub before handing him over to a local social media personality, Mr. Sopheaktra.

On 20 June 2024, Mr. Sopheaktra handed Wellington over to Wildlife Alliance (WA). The following day, 21 June 2024, Wellington was brought to Phnom Tamao Zoological Park, Protected Forest and Arboretum.

Unfortunately, Wellington lost all the toes on his left front paw as a result of the snare injury. Despite his disability, he has adapted well to his new environment and continues to receive care and protection at the zoo.
